Aslla Symposium is an invitation-only, small, roundtable discussion that lasts several days in a quiet, beautiful town of Korea. It's designed to encourage in-depth discussions of frontier research of leading scientists around the globe, as well as networking between the world’s renowned scholars and young, talented researchers. To help form and strengthen a close circle between the invited participants, the symposium offers a nightly mixer of scrumptious wines and cocktails, along with relaxing excursions and hiking activities. Aslla invites you to a life-long network in your prominent research field.
Aslla is an ancient city from Silla Dynasty (57 BC-935 AD), now called as Gangneung, meaning 'great ocean and spirit of beautiful nature'. As its ancient name shows, Gangneung is surrounded by picturesque scenes and landscapes including emerald blue ocean of East Sea and breathtaking panoramic view of magnificent Taebaek ranges, which turn into pure white snowy mountains during winter time. Selected as a host site for 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, the city offers relaxation and healing of the mind in a quiet, peaceful village in the heart of East Asia.
